ease and have fun at the same time? Do you have an active family who regularly need to burn off energy
safely? Have you been searching for a way in which to perform cardiovascular, joint or muscle building
exercises with very little effort and without potentially causing more harm than good? If the answer to any
of these is "Yes" then consider a Trampette.
Trampettes, as the name suggests, are mini trampolines and they have become a
popular purchase amongst people from all walks of life. Due to their versatility and portability, trampettes
can be used both indoors and outdoors, easily stored away when out of use, they are easier to learn how to use than
most other exercise equipment and can be utilised from both a recreational and competitive
perspective.
A trampette basically comprises taut, tear and puncture resistant material
stretched over a strong metal frame by use of coils. It is the spring from these coils and the tension and
strength of the fabric which determines the bounce and maximum weight load factors. As a consequence a multitude of
different Trampettes are designed and available for both the recreational and competitive markets.
Swimming has long been considered as the best exercise a body can get since all
areas of the body receive a workout in a gentle and supportive environment. Over the past few years using a
trampette or trampoline for both exercise and play has become extremely popular for similar reasons:
- They can provide the body with a low impact workout cushioning and absorbing
the shock from the legs and feet.
- They facilitate great mobility of the body allowing a multitude of exercises
to be achieved mid-air.
- Trampettes can help achieve results with cardiovascular and muscular
exercising by reducing the levels of energy and exertion required to complete a particular
exercise.
- In both young and old trampettes are, conversely, extremely useful for
burning off energy and calories.
- Exercising on a trampette stimulates the body's Lymphatic System resulting in
more efficiency with regards to cleansing it of toxins and waste such as dead cells, fat, toxic metals and
impurities present in the blood and body cells.
- The repetitive bounce motion also allows you to maintain and regular rhythm
or pace yourself whilst keeping track of how many repetitions of a particular exercise you have
performed.

Although having a large trampoline in your garden
(left) can produce endless hours of fun, if
unsupervised or safety aspects are not observed, they can become somewhat of a danger or
liability. However, this is less so for a trampette. Safety precautions must
always be observed, although they are less of an issue with a trampette since they
are:
|
|
- designed to be used by one person at a time
- impossible to jump too high with
- available with a stabilising bar or net enclosure if
required (above right)
- available in a soft bounce(absorbing up to 85% of the
bounce)
Improve your fitness by having fun on the road to good health with a
Trampette.
